 Fans
of Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater's The Whirlpool have relayed
how much they have enjoyed listening to its opening monologue
performed by octogenarian, OBE and FRSL (*) Philip John Stead.
In addition to occasional acting John has served in many valuable
capacities to our theater troupe. He is author of Mr. Punch,
(a study of the mask and character) three novels, several
police and crime biographies, and editor of many journals
and academic works.
Mr. Stead has published a slim volume of selected poems
and Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater is extremely pleased and
proud to offer it exclusively from our website:
SOUNDING RECALL, 28 poems, including
Confession for a Ghost; Wit and Beauty; October Fair, Barnsley;
Those Were West Riding Fields; Prayer for a New Year, and
Bomber, poems both serious and whimsical.
