to its opening monologue performed by octogenarian, OBE and
FRSL (*) Philip John Stead. In addition to occasional acting
John has served in many valuable capacities to our theater
troupe. He is author of Mr. Punch, (a study of the mask and
character) three novels, several police and crime biographies,
and editor of many journals and academic works.
