April T. writes: "Please send me a picture of Kevin Groppe aka Dennis Luckhurst. My whole family loves this guy and we are dying to find out what he looks like. My son impersonates him and we love it. Irene S. writes: "Our family has been listening to your shows on the way home from New Bedford. You make the ride fly by and Indian Flashlights was riveting! It was great since we heard the "prequel" last week. We got home before the show ended today and ran in the kitchen to turn the radio on so we could finish the program. No one wanted to take the dog out!!!!! Keep up the good work.
Buck R. writes: "The Whereabouts of Heidi McKnown" is one of your best stories and I love the gypsie lady. I love to listen to your tapes while driving on a trip.
Lori P. writes: Hello. I wanted to sincerely thank you for all your efforts to make sure my order was received in time for a special occasion. It was very thoughtful of you and truly appreciated. As I stated in my email, the Cape Cod Mystery's have been enjoyed and remembered fondly by my entire family. I just wanted you to know that your programs were and will continue to be fun, and entertaining for all us. My husband who passed away three years ago, was a very big fan of radio programs. He collected many of them as they were a comfort and source of entertainment when he was a child in the 40's. He was particularly fond of The Shodow, Inner Sanctum, The Whistler, I Love A Mystery, Johnny Dollar and many, many more. Years ago, I took a chance and purchased a few sets of your cassettes for him. He was quite fond of them. Our family would often listen to them at night, when we would travel in our motor home and camp along the Oregon coast. We weren't at Cape Cod, but we had the environment that made them even more fun. It's hard not to get into things when you can hear the ocean surf quietly crashing out your window, while you play your favorite Cape Cod Mystery. They were great then and I'm sure the cd's I have ordered will be a treat as well. I hope to eventually purchase the entire set. The Whales Tooth was such a favorite, that, my son, who was quite young at the time, purchased a mounted whales tooth from a shop along the coast that was beautifully carved. He felt he had his own whale's tooth and always had it handy while listening to the program. He still has it and cherishes the memories that the radio programs rekindle. Again, many thanks for your thoughtfulness . I look forward to ordering more in the future and keeping the joy alive. Sincerely yours,

Stephen S. writes: "I've just loved the show since I was a boy, and have now rediscovered its brilliance."
Bill S. writes: "My 15 yr. old son has listened to the shows since he was 4! We all love to curl up on ". . . a foggy night." Even though we're in Alabama, we love visiting Cape Cod every night! Thanks!
Ryan G. writes: "Hello CCRMT Team! Thank you for all the thrills! This afternoon, my brother and I came to the Cape from Scituate (listening to The Caller on Line One along the way. One of our missions on this outing was to visit the West Barnstable Cemetary and find the crypt of Jabez Howland. What a thrill it was to see the tomb where Underhill and Schoffield were trapped! (at least, I hope the J. Howland crypt we found was the one!). We plan on visiting P-Town over the weekend, and stopping by the museum to snap a photo. We can't wait to hear the newest Underhill mystery, Don't Touch That Dial! Thanks again.
William S. writes: TO THOSE AT THE CAPE COD RADIO MYSTERY THEATER: I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO SAY THANK YOU FOR THE YEARS OF ENJOYMENT I HAVE HAD LISTENING TO YOUR FANTASTIC SHOWS. I FIRST EXPERIENCED THESE SOME SEVEN OR EIGHT YEARS AGO WHILE SPENDING SOME TIME ON THE CAPE WITH A FRIEND. I CAME ACROSS IT ON THE RADIO AND WHAT A THRILL IT WAS. I HAVE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR AS MANY AS I COULD FIND. WELL, I RECENTLY CAME ACROSS YOUR WEBSITE AND WAS EXCITED FOR THE CHANCE TO FIND OUT A BIT ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT CREATE THESE. I'M A VISUAL ARTIST WHO JUST SCRAPES BY A LIVING. BUT SO MUCH OF THE WORK I CREATE I DO WHILE LISTENING TO --AMONG OTHER THINGS-- YOUR RADIO ADVENTURES. YOU HAVE EVEN INSPIRED A FEW FRIENDS AND I TO HAVE FUN MAKING OUR OWN SHORT, RADIO ADVENTURES. SO THANK YOU AGAIN FOR CREATING SOME OF THE MOST ENJOYABLE RADIO ADVENTURES I HAVE HEARD. FROM THE ACTORS WE HEAR, TO THE TECHNICAL CREW, YOU ALL DO SUCH A FANTASTIC JOB AT GIVING OUR IMAGINATIONS THE COLORS TO WORK ON OUR CANVAS WITH.
Raymond K. writes: Those radio shows are the greatest, and I especially like the Underhill ones. Keep more of them coming.
Howard and Melissa write: I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your tapes. The family took a trip up to Idaho to visit the ranch of my wife's uncle. On the way up we listened to one and the kids asked for another. Soon we had listened to them all! On the way home we listened to some of them again. Howard As Howard has stated, we all enjoyed the tapes and CD's so much. Our 7 year old wouldn't even let us carry on conversations in the car, once one tape was done, he would beg until we put in another, the time passed quickly in the car, thank you! My mom called today and asked if I had any books on tape for a long trip they're about to take, I said I had these fabulous mystery stories from some great people on Cape Cod. Melissa
Kris B. writes: Must tell you my brief story. About 16 summers ago, my 3 sisters and our gaggle of kids spent a long weekend at my sis's place in Hyannis. After a long day we bathed said dozen kids, sent them to the basement recroom turned slumber party room, turned the lights low and put on the tape "Curse of the Whale's Tooth". It was a big hit and gave us tired Moms a break. Well, now my 23 year old son (then 7) who is summering in Eastham and is on their summer police force calls me to say he thinks he found the house from Whale's Tooth, the Peniman house in Eastham, as he was driving around in the cruiser. That story must have made a big impression on him! It really was/is a good one. So now I'm off to meet up with him and get him a new recording of the old tape. And pick up a few news ones too.
Chip C. writes:
Honestly, everytime I hear the CCRMT music, I know that I am in for a fun hour --and at this point, it's like visiting with old friends. Your whole company has done everyone who has ever listened a great service.
Patrick L. writes: Your programs are great. Our whole family (including three kids - 12, 11, 10) listens - the kids prefer them to video games. Thanks so much for putting them together. Here's the question: Do any radio stations in New York/New Jersey carry your programs on-air?
Ray H. writes: Hey, I just wanted to drop you a line
to say thank you for all of the great shows. I'm twenty-three now (just
turned twenty-three on December 30) and I've been listening to CCRMT since
my mother gave me volume one on cassette for my fourteenth (maybe?) birthday.
The tapes have been hard to find, but I've managed to collect volumes
one through eight. It was because of CCRMT that I got into radio and I'll
have been in radio for the past year come January 20th. Of course, I couldn't
find a job in my native St. Louis, so I had to settle for a job in Cape
Girardeau, at the very same station that Rush Limbaugh got his start at.
I don't know if that's good or bad, but it explains why the chair's broken.
Anyway, Cape Girardeau is about 100 miles south of St. Louis, so when
I go back to St. Louis for the weekend (which equals about twice a month),
I bring my CCRMT tapes, because the two-hour drive is just long enough
to listen to two short shows, or one long one. It's always a good drive.
Tom F. writes: The bit between Underhill, Scofield,
and Wendy Tollar at the beginning of 'Junebug' is hilarious. Tom W. writes: I've recently heard your 'Danger at Seven Mile Bend' - It was my first experience with CCRMT, and I loved it! Do all (or any)of your other stories have the same type of orchestrated score and sound effects? If so, I'd be very interested in buying them. Thanks.
Jeanne B. writes: Years ago I happened to find 'Curse
of the Whale's Tooth on cassette tape. It has been a favorite of all the
grandchildren although they have heard it many times. I am really delighted
to find your web site and to be able to order more CD's. I have the CD
of 'Edgar Allen Crow' and love it and Captain Underhill. Keep up the good
work--we love your stories. I just ordered the 24 pack and axiously awaiting
its ariival. After all summer is coming and the grandkids love to lay
on the porch and listen to those spookly stories at night. Fran D. writes: I listen to radio mystery every evening as I drift off to sleep. CCRMT surpasses even the Serlock Holmes series with Rathbone and Bruce! I can't get enough. Robert C. writes: Hello. I was first introduced to Capatain Underhill years ago when I found some old radio shows on cassette tape. Captain Underhill was one of them. Over time however, my tapes became unplayable. I haven't seen Captain Underhill stories since. To this day, I remain a fan of the Captain Underhill stories. The story that I had at that time was The Curse of The Whales Tooth. Since finding this site, I have become very very anxious to order something from you. I do have one question for you however. Do you have a catalog that you could send me in the mail? I would be very interested in looking at one. I will definately be ordering some CD's from you. You are going to have a regualar customer in me. That I can promise you. Take care and have a good day. Elizabeth U. writes: I have been listening to Cape Cod Mystery Theater since I was 10 years old and I love it!! Do you cast only natives of Cape Cod in your recordings?
Lanna S. writes: I really, really enjoy radio mystery theatre, and especially the ones you create with natural history or culture which provide a learning opportunity as well as shivery thrills. John Stead in 'Whirlpool' was also my favorite narrator in my top favorite story. I observe you make a balance of this type, including cultural mysteries (Purloined Letter), and the really scary thrillers, so it isn't necessary to ask for more, since it is important to share, but thank you for having a balance. Please
release all the casettes as CDs, and please just continue this innovative
series. I'm from California, and love the history, biology and geography
(as well as hydrodynamics) of Cape Cod. And yes, I DO want to visit! Jimmy F. writes: I want to say how much I enjoy listening to Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater on tape. The first time I listened to one of the episodes was back in the summer of 1989. My mother, for her birthday, got a bunch of classic radio shows on cassette. I don't think she ever listened to them, but I was sort of curious about what they were like. I was twelve years old at that time and I sort of thought that they might be boring to listen to. After all, I did grow up watching T.V., playing with my friends and playing video games. But yet, I was still curious about the tapes. Finally I went into my parents' room one night and took the tapes to my room. On the tapes were classic radio shows like: The Green Hornet, Screen Director's Playhouse, Sherlock Holmes and of course Cape Cod Radio Mystery Theater. The episode was called "Playback" which was perfect for me since I have an interest in acting and tape recordings. I remember putting the tape in and listening to the episode and loved it! I thought the story was well written and very interesting that a psychopath would actually tape record his murders. The people that worked on it did a very good job with it. As a kid listening to the tape, I always wondered what the actors looked like. Especially Kevin Groppe who played the killer. Every time I would hear Kevin Groppe perform on the tape, I kept picturing an African American woman or Michael Jackson. LOL!! (I know that his character was disguising his voice but I always thought it was pretty interesting.) I used to listen to the tape over and over again until I finally lost the tape due to moving. I recently found the tape "Playback" with two other episodes "A Test for Murder" and "Caller on Line One" at the library and took it home. (Kevin Groppe used the same voice in "Caller"). Well, I listened to "Playback" and fell in love with it again. I went online last night and googled CCRMT. If you don't mind me asking, who started this program and how many years has it been? Also, what hasKevin Groppe been up to these days?
Cindy H. writes: To Whom it May Concern I just wanted to let you know how much my son Seth loves your programs. Hes been listening to them for about 3 years, since he was 9. Some scare him to death but he can't get enough of them. I love them too, we always listen to them together the first time then he listens & listens over & over again. Keep up the great work. Thanks from a mom. Bill H. writes: I have always considered CCRMT the gold standard for audio mystery. You were kind enough to respond when I wrote to ask you about the price of your CDs relative to audio books. This personal touch was greatly appreciated. I told my wife I was planning to buy CDs from you and she surprised me with a 24-pack for Christmas. Thank you for your fine work. I wish you continued success in your business.
Tetsu S. writes: Thank you for answering my question about Dennis/Epstein identities, and sorry for delay of my thank-you note. I listened 'Caller On Line One' again, and have understood the story. I love 'Caller On Line One' as a best radio drama I have ever heard, and have recommended it to my Japanese friends who are studying English.

Kristi B. writes: I have been listening to your shows since I was 20.... that was 17 years ago. Some of the tapes I have had to replace many times over from playing them so much! (Thank goodness for CDs!) Thanks you for many years of enjoyment! Doug M. writes: The radio shows that have been produced by the Cape Cod Radio Mystery gang are just outstanding. I have spent many hours listening to them both at work and home. For all the Old Time Radio Shows that I have collected over the years, the Cape Cod Mysterys are one of my favorites. Again, great job by all the gang, looking forward to the next adventures of Captain Underhill and Dr. Scofield.
Jacquelyn M. writes: I received my set of CCRMT shows last week. I was very touched by the hand written note that was with them. I have been enjoying my time in the car so much because of the shows. Thanks for being there. Old radio is my hobby, but CCRMT takes it to a new level. Mark D. writes: Favorite line: 'Who do?' 'You do!' 'Voodoo' -- in Automatic Murders? Also, references to previous episodes, as when Underhill reminds Scofield of 'his admiration' for the lady in the 'Heidi McKnown' episode leading to his suspension of good judgment. I like these kind of subtle references to FavCharacter: Underhill and Scofield equally--the relationship between the two is what adds enormous human interest to the series! Sequel: 'The Whirlpool.' Perhaps my favorite episode, as it was the first
